We are only just beginning this retreat and have one exclusive cottage and a separate building, which has the reception and dining room with two large deluxe double rooms - one with a balcony, the other without, on the first floor. The cottage has a large queen size bed and the beds in the other deluxe double rooms can be converted to twin sharing. We can accommodate a group of  6 people, and as each  room can comfortably fit an extra bed,  a total of 9 if required.

While we would love our guests to enjoy the gifts of Nature, we have not totally forgotten their worldly needs. Our cottage  and  rooms have most of the conveniences that you  might want.

All rooms have 24 hr. cable T.V. The option ‘to watch Nature’s TV or Man’s TV’ is entirely yours. The cottage bathroom has a tub with a view so lovely, that several comments have been made where folks wish they could take the bathroom and the view along with them. A mini fridge is also provided in the cottage.

Intercoms and safe deposit boxes in all the rooms for your convenience. Ceiling fans during the summers and heaters during the winters are at your disposal. Complimentary electric kettles for tea/coffee anytime are provided in all rooms. We also have broadband internet connection available on wi-fi in all the rooms and lawns and garden area, just so that you can tell your friends and family what they’re missing ;-) Twitter away !!

The food is home cooked and the choices are varied from Indian, Continental, Chinese and local Nepalese- Tibetan cuisine. The owner has a reputation for being one of the finest hostesses for friends and family. We have had guests who’ve sworn that when they returned home, they were going on a diet.

The view from here?  Well…a friend came up with the word ‘Viewtiful’!! There are not many places here from where you can compose a photograph that includes the river Teesta and Mt. Kanchendzonga along with a panoramic view of the hills of Sikkim, undulating towards the mountains and the horizon.  The subtle hues of  green and blue as the layers of hills unfold before you, are like a landscape painting and one feels like a visitor in God’s Art Gallery. Night time across the hills looks like festival lights flickering away in the distance and sitting out in the late evenings or night with soft music around, brings about a calmness that totally relaxes you….a bottle of wine/whisky/beer enhances the experience.
